Aviator Polarized Sunglasses

Regular price $59.95

Classic Looks with Updated with light weight Polarized Polycarbonate Lenses.

Aviator sunglasses have been made for the armed services since 1937 by companies like Randolph Engineering, American Optical and of course Ray Ban. After WW2 they became popular fashion items and remain so to this day.  In 1999 Italian eyewear conglomerate Luxottica bought the Ray Ban brand & further helped to popularize the style.

Polarized Ray Ban aviators retail for $244. Ocean Racing aviators made to the same Mil Spec fitted with lightweight, polarized polycarbonate lenses & hydrophobic coatings are $59.95.  The classic look for much less.

Polarization is like noise-canceling headphones for your eyes by eliminating reflected light or glare off the water. Hydrophobic coatings keep dirt, sunblock and saltwater from sticking to the lens. Our lighter weight hi-tech lenses are highly shatter resistant and a natural UV filter too. All the style of traditional aviators but with better performance, safety and less fatigue.

The classic gold metal frames are made to the original Mil-Spec come and come with popular flash blue mirror lenses. Lenses meet ANSI Z80.3 standards for Non-prescription Sunglass and Fashion Eyewear Requirements and meets European Community (CE) Class 1 Optical Standards.

55mm size lenses work best for women, teenagers or anyone with a thinner face.  58mm are good for most faces & 62mm for larger ones.
